Glycerophosphate choline or choline phosphate, commonly known as Alpha GPC, is a phospholipid derived from sunflower or soybean lecithin, naturally present in small amounts in the body. When fatty acids found in soybeans and other food sources decompose, metabolites are released α Glycerophosphate choline. Alpha GPC affects the brain in several different ways to enhance brain function. However, the main impact may be caused by an increase in choline. Choline is an essential micronutrient required for many bodily processes, especially brain function. It is essential for the normal operation of the key neurotransmitter acetylcholine, which serves as an anti-aging neurotransmitter and helps our nerves communicate.
